According to Solomon (Ecc. 2:24-25) it is better for me to eat and drink and tell myself my labor is good. And why is that? Because it is from the hand of God.
Then I finish the verse and am encouraged... "for who can eat, and who can find enjoyment without Him?".
God had made life so simple - eat, drink, serve, live - and it is all enjoyable because it comes from him. Yet I seem to try and do more, be more holy-looking, aim for 'grander things', when God only wants me to live my life knowing he has given it to me. That is where the pleasure and enjoyment lies.
